This renovation restored and upgraded the exterior of a 1910 historic home, balancing modern code requirements with Landmark Preservation Commission guidelines. The project included a full rebuild of the porch, upper deck, stairs, railings, and nine brick columns, addressing safety hazards and years of deferred maintenance. New structural elements were carefully concealed with period-appropriate details, while salvaged and matched materials preserved the home’s character. With upgraded surfaces, custom trim, and coordinated finishes, the result is a structurally sound and visually striking transformation that honors the home’s historic charm and exceeds modern standards.

This project transformed an underutilized dormer adjacent to a top-floor bedroom into a custom primary bathroom. Designer Kaylee Myers and Superintendent Jesse Nash overcame the challenge of a low ceiling by raising collar ties and adding an over-toilet skylight to enhance headroom and openness. The vanity wall was strategically built out for height and function, while light finishes and large tiles made the space feel more spacious. Dark fixtures provided contrast, and the owner's personality shone through in custom vanity details. The result is a stylish, comfortable bathroom tailored to both the space and the homeowners’ vision.
