Small Kitchen Remodel
Bad layout, bad lighting and bad flooring made cooking in this condo kitchen stressful. We removed the dropped ceiling, dated flooring and original cabinetry of this cookie cutter condo kitchen. During demo we found the water line to the refrigerator had been slowly leaking. The damage was repaired and the line was replaced. An underutilized doorway to a short hallway was framed in. This allowed the installation of more cabinetry and created a more efficient layout. New tile flooring was installed. Beautiful painted maple cabinets accented including an upper cabinet with reeded glass doors were installed. Detailed crown moulding emphasizes the newly raised ceiling. Under cabinet and can lighting illuminates the new kitchen.
The quartz countertops were accented by a cutting edge stainless steel tile backsplash. The stainless steel continued to a full height splash behind the range with dramatic tantrum red glass accent tiles. A custom raised bar eating area was installed between the dining room and the kitchen. The bar detail work was mirrored in a custom paint detail on the wall. A striking pair of red blown glass pendants were suspended above the bar area. The homeowners also replaced a large stained glass light fixture in the dining room with a modern, custom fixture that will accent the water view from the kitchen. Great layout, excellent lighting and a striking color scheme transformed this kitchen into an unforgettable space.
