This bathroom had an angular foot print with poorly placed features. Our challenge was in working with the angled walls and limited space. We moved the shortest wall out into the family room to add two feet to the bathroom and kept the angles. This allowed us to relocate the toilet from next to the door to the far corner, which required some concrete cutting and patching. The vanity was moved to the left of the door, thus giving us space to install a larger cherry vanity cabinet with a solid surface countertop.
The concrete exterior wall was furred out, eliminating the awkward ledge and allowed proper insulation to be installed. We also installed a heated tile floor to increase the comfort of the bathroom. A larger, efficient fan was installed to keep the bathroom moisture levels down. We utilized the original location of the shower and created a beautiful, tiled, neo angle shower. Using a neo angle style shower gave the bathroom an illusion of more space. A large custom mirror and fabulous light fixtures installed through cut outs in the mirror created a place to easily see your reflection. Homeowner chosen paint colors and new bathroom accessories completed the transformation.
